Articles
Long-form writing by founders, filed under Fundraising, Pricing, Hiring, Growth, Product, Sales, Operations and Shutdowns. Readers can respond and follow the discussion.
Business pages
Every founder can run a page for their business with an overview, what the business needs, updates and the team. Businesses are grouped into 40 fields, and a founder can post as their business.

SOS posts
Once a week, a member can send one urgent question. It is delivered to the members who said they can help with that topic, and answers arrive privately in chat.
Rooms
Live voice rooms any member can start and join, for open conversations between founders.
Chat
Direct messages between members, where posts and profiles can be shared.
Startup news
A feed of startup news that members can discuss in threaded comments and share as posts.
The city
A live 3D map of the network: every field is a tower, every business a floor, with the people inside.
Verification badges
Blue and gold badges, granted on request after review. A business shares its founder’s badge.

Frequently asked questions
What is afounder?
afounder (afounder.net) is an invite-only social network for startup founders and their teams. Members post what they are building, write long-form articles, run business pages, ask other founders for urgent help, talk in live voice rooms and message each other directly.
Who is afounder for?
People building startups and businesses: founders, cofounders and the teams working with them, from the first pitch to later funding rounds.
How do I join afounder?
afounder is invite-only. Ask a founder who is already a member for their invite code, then sign up at afounder.net with your email (or Google) and enter the code.
Where do I find an invite code?
Every member has a permanent, reusable invite code under Settings → Invite a founder, and can share it as a link. There is no waiting list; a code from a member is the only way in.
Can I read afounder without an account?
Yes. Posts and articles have public addresses (afounder.net/post/…) that anyone can open. Profiles, business pages, the feed, chat and rooms are for members.
Can my team join afounder?
Yes. A founder invites teammates by email from their business page. Teammates join the business without needing an invite code; only the founder posts as the business.
How do verification badges work on afounder?
There are two badges, blue and gold. A member requests one in Settings → Verification and it is granted after review. Badges also raise the post length limit, from 400 to 500 (blue) or 1,000 (gold) characters.
What is an SOS post?
An urgent question a member can send once a week. afounder delivers it to members who can help with that topic, and their replies arrive privately in chat.
How do I contact afounder?
Email support@afounder.net.
